2. Terron Armstead

This one speaks for itself. How could having your best left tackle return to the lineup not be a good thing?

Terron Armstead hurt his elbow against the New England Patriots and was ruled out for several weeks. Sources say he could return after the Saints’ BYE week, and no one could logically argue against Armstead’s beneficial impact in the O-line.

Along with Ryan Ramczyk, Armstead has been one of NOLA’s most consistent tackles and is currently in his ninth season with the Saints. He enjoyed three Pro Bowl seasons from 2018 to 2020 and possesses the experience and talent to keep shining as one of New Orleans’ most important O-linemen.

Armstead’s durability has been a bit of a liability for the Saints, as he’s never actually played a full 16-game season (his closest was 15 starts in 2019). Given his prolific injury history, it’s highly unlikely Armstead will return healthy enough to finish the 17-game slate in 2021.

There’s no doubt the Saints need him, though, and they’ll take however many minutes Armstead can play this season.
