1. Jameis Winston throws for 3 touchdowns

It’s been hard to really blame the lack of offense on Jameis Winston because there aren’t great weapons on this team and Sean Payton has made some questionable play calls in recent weeks. He’s not trusting Winston to go out there and get the job done despite Winston’s electric five-touchdown performance in Week 1.

Winston is definitely someone who can turn the ball over any time he drops back to throw and it’s clear that Payton is worried about that. He doesn’t want his quarterback turning the ball over and I totally get that.

At the same time, however, Winston has a cannon for an arm and it needs to be utilized. We saw this last week on the what-would-have-been touchdown to Kenny Stills that was called back to a holding call on Trautman (sorry, I know I’m being harsh on him) and then, for whatever reason, Payton put Taysom Hill into the game and we all know what happened next.

Winston’s arm shouldn’t be ignored and this week, he proves he can help this offense, throwing three touchdowns in our nation’s capital. It’d be a big-time performance from the former No. 1 overall pick, especially if this offense found its footing as a result.
