The New Orleans Saints hope to move to 3-2 after their date with Washington on Sunday. Despite being favored, NOLA winning isn’t a safe bet considering how inconsistent this team has been through four weeks of the 2021 season.

Let’s take a look at some bold predictions for Week 5.

3. Dwayne Washington finds the end zone

Alvin Kamara is healthy and the Saints have definitely been asking a lot of him. That’s why it’d be pretty dang surprising if they got Dwayne Washington into the mix more this week.

Washington has mostly been a special teams contributor since joining New Orleans in 2018 but with Tony Jones Jr. out, he gets elevated to the backup running back spot. Sean Payton has put a lot of work on Kamara’s shoulders but getting Washington involved more in the run game this week so that Kamara can be used more as a pass-catcher would be smart.

In a game that could be shockingly high-scoring (not something we thought would be the case before the season began with how good both defenses played a season ago), Washington pummeling his way into the end zone would surprise a lot of people. It’d be nice to see NOLA get him more involved in the game plan.
