1. NOLA Saints should trade for JuJu Smith-Schuster
The Steelers’ offense is going nowhere, at least not with an aging Ben Roethlisberger at the helm. With that being the case, would Pittsburgh consider trading JuJu Smith-Schuster?
The former USC wideout probably regrets his decision to sign with Pittsburgh after becoming a free agent last offseason. He considered signing with division-rival Baltimore and also flirted with becoming a member of the Chiefs as well, but settled on a return to his long-time team.
Yeah, that’s not going well.
Smith-Schuster has 15 catches for 129 yards and a rushing touchdown through four games. He has competition when it comes to targets, as Chase Claypool, Diontae Johnson, and James Washington are all on the wide receiver depth chart as well, making it even more difficult for Smith-Schuster to get involved.
With all of that talent the Steelers have at the position, parting ways with their former second-round pick might be easier. The Saints would jump at the chance to trade for Smith-Schuster and hopefully, there’s some trade scenario out there where he could come to the Big Easy and help this offense at the highest level.
