New Orleans Saints offensive tackle Terron Armstead exited Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots with an apparent arm injury.
Armstead was injured in action and was briefly looked at on the field before walking to the locker room followed by New Orleans’ medical staff.
Terron Armstead down on the field after that first-down conversion. Not what the Saints want to see. Guessing it'd be James Hurst if he's unable to continue.

Here’s the play where Terron Armstead got hurt. Appears to be an arm injury as Tony Jones Jr. picks up the block and his arm gets pinned. #Saints pic.twitter.com/HaAWlA72tx

Veteran backup James Hurst takes Armstead’s place, but losing the starter left tackle obviously deals a huge blow to the Saints’ offensive line.
Armstead is currently in the final year of a five-year deal he signed with the Saints back in 2017. Armstead and right tackle Ryan Ramczyk are two of the most dominant players currently playing their respective positions, and Armstead could be due for a lucrative payday after this season.
His backup, Hurst, was first signed by the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent out of North Carolina, and he’ll be expected to plug and play in an injury-ravaged O-line.
The Saints will now be playing with backups at left tackle, center, and right guard following Armstead’s injury. We hope it’s nothing serious and will keep updating this post as more details of his injury are revealed.
