New Orleans Saints: 3 bold predictions for Week 3 vs. Patriots
Bold Prediction No. 1: Winston has zero turnovers
Last week was brutal for Jameis Winston but hope isn’t lost yet. He threw for five touchdowns in his first-ever start for NOLA and it’s only natural that he got a little ahead of himself and started buying into his own press clippings.
Throwing two picks and just 111 yards in his second start as a Saint, Winston looked like the guy we saw in Tampa and that’s worst-case scenario for New Orleans, as they put a lot of stock into the former No. 1 overall pick.
The Patriots might have picked Zach Wilson off four times last week but they’re not going to have the same luck against Winston on Sunday. We’ve seen the Saints quarterback make it through a game without throwing any interceptions (yes, he did technically throw one in Week 1 but a penalty negated it) so who’s to say he can’t do it again?
New England has some good players in their secondary so that makes the prediction of Winston not throwing a pick this week even bolder.
