Donte Jackson is someone the Saints have to worry about.

One of the more underrated players in the league is Donte Jackson. A quick and twitchy corner, Jackson uses his speed to his advantage. On top of this, the New Orleans native has a knack for finding the ball as he has ten interceptions and 29 passes deflected in three seasons.

Last year was arguably his best year. He had a 56.9 completion percentage when targeted, and on top of this, quarterbacks had a 79.8 passer rating when targeting Jackson. On top of this, the Saints are lacking in the wide receiver department.

While it was only one game, the New Orleans Saints up and comer Marquez Callaway struggled in his debut. Only bringing in one pass for fourteen yards. More likely than not, Donte Jackson will line up the majority of the time against Callaway. With that being said, it will be important for Callaway to rebound this week.

While the Saints’ core of pass catchers on paper may look very lackluster, it surprised many people last week. This is why it will be imperative for those same pass catchers to step up, as Donte will likely have a good game.

They call him Donte ‘Action’ Jackson for a reason, but the Saints should be ready to take on the elite corner.
