Saints: 3 opponents who don’t look as daunting after Week 1
2. Buffalo Bills
The Saints host the Bills on Thanksgiving night in what many tabbed to be one of the team’s toughest games on the schedule. That’s still certainly the case, as the Bills went to the AFC Championship Game last year but couldn’t overcome the Chiefs to advance to the Super Bowl.
Despite the Bills’ rise to dominance last year, they didn’t get off to a good start this season, losing 23-16 to the Steelers in the friendly confines of Highmark Stadium in Buffalo.
Give credit where credit is due, though. The Steelers pose one of the best defenses in the league and Josh Allen and Co. were victims of just that. Allen threw 51 passes and was sacked three times, so it’s not like he was struggling against just an average defense.
That being said, the Saints’ defense is hopefully going to be one of the best in the league and give Allen an equally tough time when he and the Bills come to the Caesars Superdome.
Buffalo is still a Super Bowl contender but after seeing the Steelers’ defense limit that explosive Bills offense definitely made them less intimidating.
