1. Marquez Callaway

This isn’t a post to bash Marquez Callaway by any means. The WR1 is going to get his in this offense but Week 1 wasn’t his time to shine. Callaway had just one catch for 14 yards and was only targeted twice. He certainly wasn’t the threat we were all expecting him to be but it’s one game.

Winston had 14 completed passes for 148 yards, so it’s not he was slinging the ball every which way on Sunday afternoon. Without Callaway’s reception, Winston had just 134 yards through the air, so the UDFA out of Tennessee did make a small impact.

Even with that being the case, obviously we want to see more from Callaway moving forward. He’s the No. 1 wide receiver in this offense and not every game is going to go this way with the defense dominating.

Fans need to be reassured that if the defense has a rough day that Callaway will be able to haul in big catches and help keep the Saints’ offense afloat.

I didn’t include anyone on the defensive side of the ball on this list because… Well, did you watch the game? The defense was the star and no one really stood out in a bad way.
