The New Orleans Saints kick off their 2021 campaign on Sunday afternoon against the Green Bay Packers. It was supposed to take place in the newly-named Caesars Superdome but due to Hurricane Ida, it’s been relocated to TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville.

It’s going to be difficult for the Saints to win this one due to their lack of cornerback depth and the fact that the Packers have one of the best quarterbacks in the league. That being said, it’s not impossible by any means.

In order for the Saints to win, however, these three Saints need to forget about what’s previously happened in their careers and have the game of their lives.

While a tight end won’t win or lose the game in most circumstances (unless we’re talking about someone of Travis Kelce’s caliber and even then, it’s a stretch), Adam Trautman is in desperate need of hitting the reset button.

Trautman was a third-round pick out of Dayton in last year’s draft and failed to show much of anything in year one. He had Jared Cook and Josh Hill ahead of him on the roster and both of those guys are gone now, paving the way to him being the TE1 on the depth chart.

With Juwan Johnson having an impressive summer, however, it’s even more important for Trautman to step up and show that he was worthy of being a third-round pick. The Dayton product could really use a good game against the Packers so that the “disappointment” label gets stashed away for a bit.
