Cameron Jordan, DE

Speaking of durability, Cameron Jordan is one of the best there is in the league, appearing in all 16 games since he entered the league in 2011.

What else is there really to say about Jordan that hasn’t already? The guy is a monster and there’s a reason he’s been the face of the Saints defense for so long.

Pep talk: Jordan is the leader for a reason and he’ll continue to show why this year. He’s continued to be one of the best in the league at his position and while the defense looks different this year, Jordan is the constant year in and year out.

Jameis Winston, QB

Last, but certainly not least, we have Jameis Winston. If you had told Saints fans in 2019 that in two years, Winston would be the starter of their team, they probably wouldn’t have been very happy.

Since that time, however, Winston sat behind Drew Brees for a year and has had time to mature. Turnover issues plagued him in Tampa Bay and led to his demise from the team that spent the first overall pick on him six years ago.

Pep talk: Block out the noise. It might not have worked out for Winston in Tampa Bay but now is the time to prove that he is still capable of being a starter in the NFL.

These six Saints will lead the team in 2021 and hopefully, they do right by the “C” crest on their jerseys and make New Orleans proud.
