Saints vs. Packers – Sept. 12 (3:25 CST)

The final NFC South matchup to take place this weekend is the Saints’ “home” game against the Packers. Every team in the division technically has a home game this weekend but the Saints’ doesn’t feel like a home game, especially with the Packers being their opponent this week, as we all know that Packers fans travel well.

As of now, the Saints are the only NFC South team not to be favored in their season opener, as the Packers are 4.5-point favorites. This isn’t surprising considering that it’s being played on a neutral field and that the Saints are in limbo as far as their quarterback situation goes.

New Orleans definitely has the most difficult season opener in the NFC South and they’re the only one not to be favored. If any team is going to challenge Tampa for the division, however, it’ll be the Saints.

This time next week we’ll know a little more about each of these teams but remember – Week 1 is only one game out of 17 regular-season games. There’s still a long season to go.
