New Orleans Saints: Game-by-game predictions for 2021 season
The extra regular-season game means the Saints face a team from the AFC that they normally wouldn’t this year. Due to the NFC South playing the AFC South, the Saints get to face the winner from that division last year, so a trip to Nashville is in the works midway through the season.
The Saints and Titans played each other close in 2019 and it should be another tough battle this time around. Tennessee has the battering ram in the form of Derrick Henry, who the Saints avoided the last time these two teams met but might not be so lucky this time around.
This should be a fun contest in Nashville but the Titans are a good team and they’ll have home-field advantage, which tips the scale in their favor for sure.
Prediction: Saints 28, Titans 31
The Saints hit the road for the second straight week and this time get to face the Eagles, a team who handed them the only loss of Taysom Hill’s time as a starter. That game was ugly, as the Eagles simply got the better of New Orleans in a loss that proved pivotal for this squad.
While it’s never easy playing in Philadelphia in front of those fans, the Saints are the better team and should be able to come out of this one on top.
Prediction: Saints 35, Eagles 20
Record: 6-4
