The Saints curb-stomped the Buccaneers in both of their regular-season matchups last year and were it not for a few dumb mistakes in the playoffs, would have been able to sweep the eventual Super Bowl champions. This year, the target is going to be bigger on Tampa’s back but they didn’t lose a single player from last year’s team, making them a good candidate to repeat this season.

While the Saints showed they could slow the Bucs down and score on them, this is a new year. As mentioned, the Bucs didn’t lose anyone from their roster a season ago while the Saints lost some notable players including Drew Brees, Trey Hendrickson, and Sheldon Rankins. They could also still be without Michael Thomas when this game rolls around.

New Orleans exposed Tampa last year but it’s a new year and this is one of the home games that the Saints could drop in 2021.

Prediction: Saints 24, Buccaneers 31

The Saints remain home and face yet another NFC South team in the Falcons. While Atlanta has their fair share of problems, has a rookie head coach, and an aging Matt Ryan at quarterback, they always play the Saints tough, as division rivals often do.

These matchups could honestly come down to a coin flip (literally) but the Saints are the more talented team and should hopefully prevail.

Prediction: Saints 34, Falcons 23

Record: 5-3
