The New Orleans Saints kick off their 2021 season on Sept. 12 and it’ll be the first-ever season in which they’ve participated in a 17-game regular season. The league made the decision to add in a 17th game this year so that means we won’t see teams go an even .500 anymore. They’ll either be winning teams or losing teams.

The Saints start their season “at home” against Green Bay before hitting the road for two consecutive weeks for dates with the Panthers and Patriots. They round out the first quarter with a “home” game vs. the Giants.

In the second quarter of the season, the Saints travel to our nation’s capital for a date with the Washington Football Team before entering their Week 6 bye. From there, they head to Seattle for a Monday Night Football matchup in Week 7 and then host the Buccaneers in Week 8.

That’s where the schedule heats up, as the Saints play the Seahawks, Bucs, Falcons, Titans, Eagles, Bills, and Cowboys in seven straight weeks. Sure, the Falcons, Eagles, and Cowboys aren’t all that menacing but when you take into account how tough the Falcons have played New Orleans over the years, that game is a tossup as to how it could go. The two NFC East teams also have to win some games and those could be trap games on the schedule.

Let’s dive into how the 2021 season could go for the Saints with game-by-game predictions.
