Speaking of Wide Receivers…

While the Saints ultimately only have five receivers on their active roster, they kept plenty of names on the practice squad. We already mentioned Kevin White, who gets another shot to try and make it with an NFL team.

The other receivers currently on the practice squad are Kawaan Baker and Easop Winston.

Baker was the only receiver the Saints took in the 2021 NFL Draft despite their need at the position and they waited until the final round to select him. He’s someone who fans discussed this offseason when it came to help at the position but he didn’t shine during preseason in the way that fans had hoped.

As for Winston, he had his fair share of quality moments in training camp and preseason but not every receiver was going to make the team and he was an “easy” choice to leave off the roster. He might get a chance to play for the team during the course of the season if injuries occur to the receivers.
