Welcome aboard!

It’s not new information that David Onyemata will miss the first six games of the season as he serves a suspension. The Saints needed to find someone capable of replacing him or at least filling a depth role in Onyemata’s absence and they’ve appeared to have found that guy with Montravious Adams.

Adams was a third-round pick by the Packers in 2017 out of Auburn and spent the past four seasons there. During that time, he played in 45 games with just three starts under his belt and totaled 44 tackles and six quarterback hits.

Adams isn’t starting-caliber but the Saints have enough depth to fill in for Onyemata while he’s serving his suspension. What Adams can do is be a nice rotational piece on this defense but once Onyemata returns, he might not remain on the team.

It wasn’t surprising to see the team add another defensive lineman and Montravious Adams is the guy joining the Saints D. Let’s see what he can bring to this defense.
