Receivers for Saints to target – Breshad Perriman

Out of the receivers looking for new homes, Breshad Perriman might be one of the most intriguing for Saints fans.

First and foremost, Perriman has history with Jameis Winston, as the two played together in Tampa Bay in 2019. Perriman was one of Winston’s favorite targets during that time, totaling 30 receptions for 505 yards and three touchdowns through 14 games and four starts.

It’s not a great sign that Perriman couldn’t keep a spot on a thin Lions roster but that doesn’t mean the Saints shouldn’t have interest in reuniting him with Winston. The former first-round pick by the Ravens in 2015 didn’t pan out there and is now waiting to sign with his fifth team.

I’d be interested to see if Winston and Perriman could recreate some of the magic they had in Tampa Bay during the 2019 season. It’s a new team and a new scheme in New Orleans but why not give Winston a weapon that he’s had success with in the past?
