New Orleans Saints Madden ratings – No.1: Ryan Ramczyk

Madden once again disrespects the best right tackle in the league. While the game does have Ryan Ramczyk as the highest overall right tackle, his rating is too low. EA gave Ramczyk a rating of 89. Ramczyk is at least a 90 overall, and in most fan’s opinions, probably better.

89 overall puts him as the same overall as Bucs rookie phenom Tristan Wirfs, who — by all means — is a fantastic player. However, Ramzcyk has been dominating for years. Wirfs was phenomenal but has only had one year of dominance. Ramzcyk’s rating of a 91 overall last year is a fair rating and that should have been his rating again this year.

While he had a slight increase in penalties he is still the dominant tackle that can stop almost any edge rusher. Ramczyk’s greatness has been long under apricated, so this shouldn’t come as a shock. Somehow missing the NFL’s top 100 list and only ranking 82 in last year’s list.

The former Wisconsin Badger has really never been shown the love he deserves.

Expect to see Ramczyk’s rating go up as he will be playing with a chip on his shoulder after his contract extension.
