Saints impacted by canceled game – No. 3: Kevin White

Kevin White’s fate with the Saints took a major hit with the canceled preseason game. Had the game taken place, White wouldn’t have found the field until late in the game anyway but now, all the Saints have to go off of is how lackluster White was on Monday, as he dropped two passes from Trevor Siemian. White is definitely running out of opportunities to stick with an NFL roster.

A former No. 7 overall pick in 2015, White earned his bust label in Chicago after not doing much of anything through four years with the Bears. He tried to make it with the 49ers last season with no such luck and the Saints provide him with what could be his final opportunity to make an NFL roster.

The Saints have a need for depth at wide receiver and that’s why White’s signing made sense. If he was going to show that he could still provide for an NFL team, the Saints were the best possible fit for him given their situation.

Saints fans are rooting for the guy but he hasn’t made the most of the opportunities laid in front of him and he could be out of the NFL for good. The canceled game hits him hard for sure because this could be it for the former West Virginia product.
