Saints whose value tumbled – No. 3: Kevin White

A former No. 7 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft out of West Virginia, Kevin White was a major bust for the Chicago Bears during his four years in the Windy City. It was pretty clear early on that he was injury-prone and wouldn’t become the receiver Chicago hoped he’d be and it’s also pretty clear that this might be his last chance to prove he can contribute to an NFL roster.

White signed with the Saints last week in the hopes that he’d finally stick somewhere and be able to play to his abilities but it didn’t go well vs. the Jaguars Against third and fourth-stringers, White dropped two passes sent his way. Not a great sign for a guy who is desperate to make the team.

If White fails to impress this weekend vs. the Cardinals, he might find himself out of opportunities to make another NFL roster. If he can show anything this weekend, however, the Saints would be desperate for any receiver to make a positive impact on the offensive side of the ball.

White was already in a tough spot when he signed with the team but after a two-drop performance, he’s in an even worse spot moving forward.
