Saints whose stock rose – No. 3: Lil’Jordan Humphrey

While fans felt pretty confident that Lil’Jordan Humphrey would make the 53-man roster, he seemingly staked his claim on a roster spot with his performance on Monday night. Humphrey, while running with the 2s during the game, hauled in four catches for 74 yards and a touchdown.

Not only did Humphrey have the second-most receiving yards but he made all four of his catches count. After two catches, he had 50 yards and then tacked on 24 more yards with the fourth and final catch being in the end zone for a touchdown.

Humphrey and Taysom Hill had pretty good chemistry and it was clear that Hill was looking Humphrey’s way often. Humphrey might not be a starter on this team but he’s proving to be a very valuable depth piece.

Perhaps the Saints’ receivers aren’t going to be as bad as many had thought they would. Humphrey is proof that this team has depth at the position.
