New Orleans Saints to Watch – No. 1: Jameis Winston

The quarterback battle is still going strong (well — sorta) and Jameis Winston has a chance to take a big step ahead of Taysom Hill during this game. Winston has been the favorite throughout the offseason due to his previous experience as a starter but he hasn’t put Hill away quite yet.

Winston is the quarterback to watch this week because he’ll be the starter and playing with the 1s. Last week saw Hill as the starter while Winston was the backup and mostly targeting the backups.

Can Winston impress with his fellow starters this week? If he shows that he can, the quarterback battle will be closer to wrapping up, especially if Hill struggles while playing with the 2s.

Quarterbacks are always going to have our attention due to the importance of their position but Winston is the highlight due to taking the role as the starter against the Jaguars. It’s time for him to show that’s where he belongs.
