The 2021 season is under three weeks away and there are several New Orleans Saints who fans aren’t expecting much out of this year.

These players are all being doubted for different reasons. Maybe one player was a first-round pick who wasn’t shined bright much this year. Maybe another one was a high draft pick but has yet to pop off the page. Or, perhaps the player is being put into a bigger role than what they’re typically used to or haven’t been in for a while.

Whatever the reason is, fans aren’t expecting much out of these five players but they’re definitely hoping to be proven wrong. Let’s get to the list!

Saints that fans hope prove them wrong – No. 5: Ken Crawley

Saints fans cringe whenever they see a ball going near Ken Crawley‘s direction because — Well, the guy hasn’t been very good. He’s spent most of his NFL career with the Saints and is entering year six with the organization.

With Patrick Robinson’s sudden retirement, Crawley is now in a position where he’s going to be a starter. He’s competing with rookie Paulson Adebo as the other main corner opposite Marshon Lattimore, but even if he doesn’t win that job, Lattimore has a looming suspension, so Crawley could be a starter that way.

Fans certainly want to be proven wrong by Crawley this year but history isn’t kind for the former Colorado corner. Here’s to hoping that changes in 2021.
