Saints who tumbled in value – No. 1: Latavius Murray

Alvin Kamara is the starting running back for the Saints, barring injury or anything unusual. The backup job was expected to go to Latavius Murray, who has held that position over the past two seasons.

The competition is pretty stacked at running back this year though and that was proven by Tony Jones Jr.’s performance vs. the Ravens on Saturday. Jones dazzled both on the ground and through the air, totaling 120 yards from scrimmage and making the running back battle much more interesting in the process.

Murray, on the other hand, struggled to do much of anything, totaling just six yards off of five carries. It wasn’t the outing that Murray needed after a less-than-stellar training camp and now his role with the team could be in danger.

Murray entered training camp as the expected backup but with his lousy stats from Saturday and Jones popping off the page, his value definitely took the hardest hit after the preseason opener.
