The New Orleans Saints lost to the Baltimore Ravens in their preseason opener but it wasn’t all bad. Three Saints, in particular, stood out and had fans talking about their stellar play.

Let’s take a look at three Saints whose stock jumped the most following the Saints’ 17-14 loss to the Ravens on Saturday.

New Orleans Saints trending up – No. 3: Zack Baun

There’s a lot of pressure on second-year linebacker Zack Baun this year after he didn’t impress as a rookie. The third-round pick in 2020 has impressed to this point of training camp and stood out in the loss on Saturday.

The tweet above details how dominant Baun was in the preseason opener. He was a wrecking ball on defense and this is exactly what the Saints want to see from the former Wisconsin product.

This kind if production is what New Orleans thought they were getting when they spent their third-round pick on him a year ago. He didn’t flourish as a rookie but if the opener is any indication, Baun could be a whole new player in 2021.
