New Orleans Saints who popped – No. 1: Lil’Jordan Humphrey

When it comes to players in the NFL, Lil’Jordan Humphrey might have the coolest name of them all. The Saints signed him as a UDFA in 2019, once again proving they have an eye for talent when it comes to guys who go undrafted.

Humphrey hasn’t done a ton to this point in his career, notching just 43 receiving yards in two seasons. This year could be his chance to really shine, however, and he’s doing that so far in camp.

John Hendrix was one of many Saints reporters to note that Humphrey hauled in two one-handed grabs during 1-on-1 drills. Hey, they’re just drills and these tend to favor the receivers, but let’s give Humphrey his due diligence here. One-handed grabs are impressive no matter what the situation is.

With the Saints desperately needing multiple receivers to up the ante this year, why couldn’t Humphrey be one of those guys? He was explosive as they come at Texas and there are not many guys ahead of him that are a lock to be the starters.

Hopefully, this is only the beginning for Lil’Jordan Humphrey.
