New Orleans Saints who popped – No. 3: Deonte Harris

Saints fans know what kind of player Deonte Harris is, at least when it comes to his abilities on special teams. He’s one of the best return specialists in the league and even non-Saints fans are aware of that.

This year, however, is going to be the perfect time for Harris to step up and show what kind of player he can at the wide receiver position. The Saints don’t have much depth there and don’t have any starting-caliber players at the position, so it’ll really be important for Harris to make the most of his targets on offense.

Luke Johnson’s tweet above described Harris as “an absolute nightmare to face” and he brings up another interesting point. Is it possible that fans aren’t talking about Harris much because of his looming suspension after his arrest?

Harris has put on quite the show during training camp and the Saints need any positives they can get when it comes to the wide receiver position. Fortunately, Harris looks like he’s up for the task of hauling in key targets this season.
