New Orleans Saints who stood out – No. 1: Chris Hogan

I’ve been critical of the Saints’ decision to sign Chris Hogan but he was the highlight of Day 2. Hogan had a nice showing during his second day in camp and the most noteworthy part of the day for the Saints’ newest signee was a leaping grab he had from Jameis Winston. Had Hogan not readjusted and made this play, Winston’s pass would have been picked off.

Hogan spoke to the media after practice and said he didn’t have plans to play in the NFL this year. He was a member of the Whipsnakes (a pro lacrosse team) but when the opportunity to work out with the Saints arose, he took the opportunity, and obviously, it was the right decision for him.

The Saints need all of the wide receiver help they can get and while Hogan isn’t a superstar, his outing at camp has made fans feel a little bit better about this signing.

These five Saints stood out to me in one way or another and here’s to hoping these guys continue to excel and impress as training camp continues.
