Saints: 3 other linebackers to consider if Kwon Alexander signs elsewhere
Linebackers for Saints to Consider – No. 1: K.J. Wright
If the Saints can’t make a reunion with Kwon Alexander happen, K.J. Wright needs to be who they turn their attention to.
Wright has spent the entirety of his career to this point with the Seahawks and has excelled in their defense. The former fourth-round pick in 2011 has been a durable force for Seattle’s defense, starting all 16 games in each of the last two seasons.
Wright might be on the verge of turning 32 (his birthday is on July 23) but there’s no debating that he’s still a force to be reckoned with on the defensive side of the ball. He’d make the Saints defense better too, as he had 86 tackles last year and over 100 the season prior. He also notched two sacks last year.
Alexander is obviously the focus for the Saints right now but if they can’t agree to a deal with their former linebacker, K.J. Wright is the next guy they should shift their attention to. He’d be an absolute wrecking ball for this team and New Orleans would love to have him in the black and gold.
Hopefully, the Saints can lock in a deal with Kwon Alexander, but these other three linebackers are names to consider if Alexander signs with another team.
