NOLA Saints: 4 potential trade destinations for Michael Thomas
Potential Spots for NOLA Saints WR Michael Thomas – No. 3: Ravens
The Ravens have continued to be linked to different wide receivers this offseason despite spending a first-round pick on Rashod Bateman and also adding Tylan Wallace in the fourth round. They were grouped in with the Julio Jones trade talks before he was traded to Tennessee and recently, they’ve been listed as a team that makes sense for Thomas’ services.
While I could see why Baltimore is being listed as a decent option for Thomas, I’m not really sure the Ravens need him all that much. I mentioned Bateman and Wallace joining the team through the draft but the Ravens already have Hollywood Brown and signed Sammy Watkins in free agency. That’s four decent options at the position.
That being said, Thomas would undoubtedly make the Ravens’ offense better and they’d be happy to have him on their offense. He’d be another weapon for Lamar Jackson and with the Ravens playing in one of the toughest divisions in the league, Thomas could be the difference between winning the AFC North or being the Wild Card team in the playoffs.
The hypothetical trade that was discussed between the Saints and the Ravens would be that Baltimore gets Thomas in exchange for a second-round pick next year and a third-rounder in 2023. Those aren’t bad returns by any means and New Orleans would definitely have to consider that offer.
