Saints fans hope that Christian McCaffrey leaves the NFC South

Last year was Christian McCaffrey‘s worst as an NFL running back but that’s only because he missed the majority of the season due to injury. Even with that being the case, Saints fans would be a-okay with McCaffrey leaving the division and running all over three other teams twice a year.

In 2019, McCaffrey rushed for 1,387 yards and 15 touchdowns while also being a nuisance as a pass-catcher. He grabbed 116 receptions for 1,005 yards and another four touchdowns. That gave him 2,392 yards from scrimmage and 19 total touchdowns. Sheesh!

McCaffrey didn’t hold back against the Saints in 2019 either, rushing for 90 total yards and grabbing 141 yards through the air in both games. He found the end zone a total of three times in his two meetings with the Saints.

Even though he appeared in just three games last year, McCaffrey made the most of those games. He rushed for 225 yards and five touchdowns while adding 149 receiving yards and a receiving touchdown to his 2020 totals.

McCaffrey might be coming off of an injury but there’s no debating who the Saints would pick from the Panthers to leave the division if they had a choice. It’d be Christian McCaffrey.
