Toughest WRs on New Orleans Saints Schedule: No. 3 – A.J. Brown

If the 17th game hadn’t been added this year, the Saints wouldn’t have to deal with A.J. Brown but lo and behold — Here we are. The Saints get to face the Titans as their extra opponent in 2021 and that means they’ll be tasked with stopping (or attempting to stop) Brown.

Brown, a former second-round pick by the Titans in 2019, is off to a roaring start in his career, going for over 1,000 yards receiving in each of his first two seasons. Last year, the Ole Miss product had 1,075 yards and 11 touchdowns, improving on his rookie year campaign of 1,051 yards and eight touchdowns.

Brown’s best game in year No. 2 came against in Week 16 against the Texans. In that matchup, Brown tallied 10 receptions for 151 yards and one touchdown while Tennessee narrowly edged out the Texans. They needed Brown to rise to the occasion and he did, which is something the Saints can expect when they head to Nashville in Week 10.

It won’t be easy stopping A.J. Brown but if the Saints can limit him to under 100 yards receiving, that’d be a huge victory.
