Toughest QBs on New Orleans Saints’ 2021 Schedule – No. 2: Russell Wilson

Despite never winning the MVP award, Russell Wilson has kept the Seattle Seahawks as a relevant team in the NFL. They’ve missed the playoffs once since he’s been their quarterback and whenever Wilson has the ball, there’s no telling what he can do. He’s that good.

This past season saw Wilson throw for 4,212 yards, a career-high 40 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions while adding 513 yards and two touchdowns with his legs. Like Prescott and Allen, what makes Wilson so scary is how good he is as a runner. He can beat teams both through the air and with his legs and that’s tough to stop.

Surprisingly, Wilson has faced the Saints just three times in the regular season during his career. He’s 1-2 against them and hasn’t beaten New Orleans since the 2013 season when he and the Seahawks went on to win the Super Bowl. It was Wilson’s second year in the league.

Wilson had a great game against the Saints two years ago, throwing for 406 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for 51 more yards and making two trips into the end zone. He had to put up those kinds of numbers though because his defense wasn’t doing him any favors whatsoever.

Hopefully, Wilson isn’t as electric against the Saints this time around. He’s definitely one of the scarier quarterbacks on the schedule this season.
