87. . . . Carolina Panthers. 2. team

The Panthers are always game to drop one or two versus the Saints.

The all-time series between the Carolina Panthers and New Orleans Saints is actually a lot closer than you might imagine. New Orleans actually took control most recently in 2019 with a 42-10 win and have tacked on two more wins since then, giving themselves a 28-25 edge over their rivals from Charlotte, North Carolina.

They’ve won each of the last four meetings, and they’ve won nine of the last 11 meetings. You can expect them to keep the momentum going in 2021.

These two proud franchises will meet for their annual two-game series, but the Panthers are a team that is owned by a billionaire that wants to be a rock star (David Tepper). They’re led on the field by a coach that might need to go back to the collegiate level (Matt Rhule). The jury is still out on that one though.

Sure, they’ve got an immensely talented roster, and they had an incredible offseason, but they’re at least a year away from challenging the Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers for superiority in the NFC South. Give the saints at least one easy win over these guys in 2021. Is it too early to call for a sweep in this one?
