The New Orleans Saints have concluded their draft, and now we are looking forward to the beginning of the season. However, we still need to figure out who will be the starting quarterback for the black and gold next season.

After Drew Brees retired, the Saints immediately starting thinking about his replacement. Sean Payton ended up saying that the starting quarterback was already on the team.

I fully expect Jameis Winston to take the lead and showcase his talents against Taysom Hill. After all, Winston was a former NFL passing leader with the Buccaneers. Taysom Hill is good at what he does and that is where he needs to stay.

In the Saints’ first season without Hall-of-Fame quarterback Drew Brees, Jameis Winston will step up and hit these three marks this season.

Think about it, if Hill becomes the starter, Winston just sits on the bench. If Winston becomes the starter, then Hill continues to play tight end, receiver, and running back on the different multi-gadget types of plays. Winston with the more talent just makes sense.

As we approach these reasonable expectations for Jameis Winston this season, we are doing so anticipating that he wins the starting job in Sean Payton’s eyes this offseason. Here are three things that we fully think Winston should accomplish with the Saints this year.
