After trading up twice, the New Orleans Saints managed to do their thing and snag players that they were high on. While that hasn’t always panned out for them, there’s no denying their scouting department has shown an ability to find diamonds in the rough at times.

Just look back at 2017 for a draft that the Saints absolutely dominated. Sadly, the next couple didn’t fill the team with the talent they would’ve hoped for.

The New Orleans Saints may not have had the draft many would’ve hoped for, but they filled holes and added talent at positions that needed more help.

With Marcus Davenport in the first round of 2018 and then not having a first-round pick in 2019, the Saints were potentially going to void next season’s draft to trade up into the top ten to add some much-needed talent.

But, they didn’t get an offer they felt compelled to take, and they ended up with Payton Turner in the first round.

Then they added a linebacker and then cornerback in the second and third round respectively. Despite filling voids, the Saints passed on some big-time names. Let’s dive into three of them New Orleans may regret letting et away.
