Entering the offseason, the New Orleans Saints were in one of the worst financial positions in league history. They cleared more than nine figures in cap space which is absolutely insane. They released players, traded players, and restructured contracts to get under the cap.

In doing all that, they’ll comply with the cap, but they gutted their roster. They didn’t rid themselves of their top-tier, high-impact players, but they did lose many players that were crucial to their success.

The New Orleans Saints lost several impactful players in free agency, and some will also be on the hot seat if they don’t perform at a high level.

Emmanuel Sanders, Janoris Jenkins, Nick Easton, Trey Hendrickson, Sheldon Rankins, and many others will not be back.

The Saints do have a few players that will need to step up; however, this season isn’t going to be a failure if Deonte Harris can’t get more involved in the offense. Marquez Callaway failing to take that extra step isn’t what will doom the Saints.

That said, the Saints do have a handful of players that are on the hot seat, and let’s dive into who they could be.
