In breaking news, the Cleveland Browns have released starting defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson. The New Orleans Saints need to jump on this opportunity to sign a talent the size of Richardson for the price he might fall to.

Richardson was drafted out of Missouri and played the beginning of his career with the New York Jets. He spent four years with the Jets starting all four years. He was an immediate star talent out of college. He left 18.0 sacks in New York along with a Pro Bowl selection.

Last Friday, the Cleveland Browns made a financial decision to release star DT Sheldon Richardson; now, the Saints should sign him.

After four years in New York, Richardson made his way to Cleveland after one-year pit stops in Seattle and Minnesota. Richardson has continued to start every season since his arrival in the NFL for all four teams.

Richardson has 31.0 sacks and 461 tackles in eight seasons along with 14 passes defended, 10 forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries, 58 tackles for a loss, and 92 hits on the quarterback. Richardson would be a desirable add to the black and gold roster.
