Julian Edelman was the seventh-round, 232nd overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft. He played all 11 years in the NFL with the New England Patriots and Bill Belichick. He also spent most of his career with future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady.

Bill Belichick had this to say about Edelman via NFL.com, “I have a ton of respect for Julian and what he accomplished in his career, how hard he worked to accomplish it, and a great appreciation for all he’s done for me personally and our organization.”

The NFL lost a great player in Julian Edelman, but there are several Saints that should be on the shortlist for the Hall of Fame before him.

Julian Edelman had a luxurious career ending with 620 receptions for 6,822 yards and 36 touchdowns in 137 career games. Edelman is a three-time Super Bowl Champion and even won the Super Bowl LII MVP.

All that we just mentioned leads to the thought that Julian Edelman should be on the list for a future Hall of Fame spot. However, despite all of that, there are still at least three prominent Saints that should be inducted before him.
