Saints potential prospect: CB, Jaycee Horn, University of South Carolina

I don’t know if any of you Saints fans out there have ever heard the name ‘Joe Horn’ before. I am going to safely assume you have as he donned the black and gold from 2000-2006 with four Pro Bowl appearances.

Well, meet his son, Jaycee.

The Saints grabbing Eli Apple was an experiment gone wrong.

He lasted a short time with the team, was injured often, and frankly just wasn’t good, oftentimes allowing big players for opponents. Smartly, they let him walk in free agency after signing another former Giants cornerback in Janoris Jenkins.

Jenkins was definitely better than Apple, but they were forced to release Jenkins after the cap situation got out of hand this offseason. Now, they are looking for his replacement. Horn started as a mid-second-round prospect and has catapulted into the first round.

Through three years in college, Horn has 100 total tackles (6.0 for a loss), 3.0 sacks, two interceptions, 23 passes defended, and two forced fumbles in 29 games. Jaycee Horn would be a great complement to Marshon Lattimore for years.
