Saints potential prospect: QB, Davis Mills, Stanford University

Regardless of if you think the Saints have found their long-term quarterback in Jameis Winston or Taysom Hill, you can’t argue that bringing in another potential star at the quarterback position fresh out of college is a good thing.

During his freshman year in 2018, Mills barely played a snap. However, he turned his career on quickly becoming the starter in Stanford the next season. He ended up playing eight games in 2019 and five games in 2020 in three years in college.

During those three years, Mills threw 287 completions for 3,468 yards and 18 touchdowns with eight interceptions. He also completed 65.5 percent of his attempts from 2018-2020. Mills has been the topic of many draft conversations as of late.

In mock drafts, Davis has lightning bolted his way to first-round conversations. It has been a great story to follow. He has dealt with numerous college injuries, which is why he only played 13 collegiate games, but his size and talent make him a very sought-after NFL quarterback.
