If you have followed the Saints over the past month, you will know that the team is preparing for a big upcoming draft. In the middle of the preparation, star cornerback Marshon Lattimore was arrested while in Columbus, Ohio.

While the outcome of his arrest is still undetermined, we don’t know if the league will take any further action after that. It seems doubtful, but with the NFL, you never know. The team was also forced to release Janoris Jenkins, their other starting corner, earlier this offseason.

The most pressing need still on the back of the New Orleans Saints’ staff is adding another cornerback after the loss of Janoris Jenkins.

The free-agent market has been tricky for the black and gold because they don’t have a lot of money to spend. However, with these three cornerbacks who weren’t signed in the first wave of free agency, deals might be able to be done.

These three veteran cornerbacks would be excellent additions alongside Marshon Lattimore and they would also allow Chauncey Gardner-Johnson to remain the slot corner and safety backup. Here are the three veteran safeties the Saints need to reach out to before they’re gone.
