It’s been a chaotic offseason for the New Orleans Saints.

Sadly, they’ve had to release several players that had become fan favorites. Despite not having been in the Big Easy too long, Kwon Alexander, Janoris Jenkins, and Emmanuel Sanders will all be missed, but releasing those three was pretty easy to see coming.

The New Orleans Saints are in a peculiar spot heading into the 2021 NFL Draft, but they certainly will have high-impact roles that they must fill.

The Saints’ horrific cap situation impact both sides of the ball, but as they enter the draft, New Orleans will need to have a more defensive-minded approach in order to fill the holes needed to contend next season.

They’re missing depth at defensive tackle and cornerback primarily. They should be able to live with who they have at linebacker, safety, and defensive end. Offensively, they’ll need to replace Sanders and potentially add a versatile offensive lineman as well.

That’s the layout for who we have them targeting in the first three rounds. That said, let’s dive into who could see foresee them taking and why.
