Cornerback

If you have followed the Saints over the past week, you will know that the team is preparing for a big upcoming draft. In the middle of the preparation, star cornerback Marshon Lattimore was arrested while in Ohio.

While the outcome of his arrest is still undetermined, we don’t know if the league will take any further action after that. It seems doubtful, but with the NFL, you never know. The team was also forced to release Janoris Jenkins, their other starting corner, earlier this offseason.

The free-agent market, like for every position, with the Saints cap space, is not going to offer a long-term solution. If the Saints see this as a troubling issue, then targeting a cornerback in the first or second round might be what is needed.
