Nick Easton

The New Orleans Saints are going to be a bit thin on the offensive line this season. Well, at least they will be in more trouble if Andrus Peat and others get injured. Both Peat and Terron Armstead have had trouble staying on the field.

Easton has been able to fill in for Peat over these last few seasons, and his ability to be versatile on the line has been a huge help keeping Brees free from big-time hits. The Saints will likely add some offensive line help in Day 2 of the 2021 NFL Draft.

That said, Easton was released earlier this offseason, and while interest is there from around the league, he’s yet to sign with a new franchise. There’s no reason why he should be playing in 2021 though, so there should be news on that end relatively soon.

Easton spent the last two seasons as a backup for the Saints, appearing in 22 games and starting 15. He had just one penalty despite playing in 52 percent of the team’s offensive snaps last season.
