DeSean Jackson

The 34-year-old DeSean Jackson is on the market, and with Winston leading the way with his cannon arm, the Saints should looking into signing the veteran. Jackson has had a legendary career filled with huge performances.

Jackson has led the league four times, most recently in 2018, in yards per catch, all of which were over 17.5. As one could infer, Jackson’s presence in New Orleans would give them a Ted Ginn-like deep threat.

Jackson has had five 1,000-yard seasons but has started and played in just eight games over the past two seasons, spending both years in Philadelphia on a team led by Carson Wentz. Jackson had a total of 36 targets.

He’ll enter 2021 healthy and should still have the wheels to be considered one of the league’s most elusive deep threats. With Thomas controlling the middle of the field, the combination would provide everything Winston needs to succeed.

While Watkins may be the best fit, any of the three should be a welcome addition to the Big Easy.
