Pittsburgh Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers were the NFL’s worst 11-0 team last year. They managed to drop several late-season games after their defense got banged up. Their defense was the heart of their dominating roster.

While James Conner is there and should be healthy for next season, he’s been injury-prone these last few years, and having a steady backup like Murray could pay dividends for Pittsburgh.

The Steelers also have Benny Snell, but he didn’t produce well either. Pittsburgh ranked last in rushing yards per game, and if they can gain some traction on the ground, they may be able to help Ben Roethlisberger in what should be his last season in the NFL.

Murray isn’t a star back. He has one Pro Bowl appearance but has yet to be at that level of play for the past few seasons. A productive back, yes, but Murray isn’t going to be the superstar of your backfield.

Combining him with Conner could be what Pittsburgh needs to take their offensive to a new level.
