Tyrod Taylor

Tyrod Taylor was named the Los Angeles Chargers quarterback at the start of the year regardless of them drafting former Oregon quarterback Justin Herbert in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft similar to Fitzpatrick and Tagovailoa.

After a pain injection that was misplaced by the doctor, Taylor ended up in the hospital with a punctured lung. That left Justin Herbert to start the week he missed. Unfortunately for him, Herbert balled out in that game.

In the next game, Anthony Lynn announced that Herbert would be the starter for the remainder of the season. Taylor spent the first part of his career with the Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills before spending one year in Cleveland and two in Los Angeles.

During his three seasons in Buffalo from 2015-2017, Taylor threw for almost 3,000 yards in every one of those seasons along with 14 or more touchdowns. Those per-year statistics are good enough for the Saints to offer him a contract.
