3 teams that should contact the New Orleans Saints about Malcom Brown
Houston Texans
The Houston Texans may or may not have to go into a full-out rebuild. The team still has quarterback Deshaun Watson under contract, but he’s clearly not happy with the front office and has demanded a trade.
It all started last offseason when they traded DeAndre Hopkins. The Texans have now parted ways with J.J. Watt, allowing him to go sign with Hopkins’ team, the Arizona Cardinals. All signs indicate the team eventually parting ways with Watson.
That could mean a full rebuild, and they’d also have the money to go out and add talent. Brown should at least be on their radar. For his impact, he doesn’t have too high of a salary, and having been in the league for over half a decade, he’d bring experience as well.
The Texans were also in the bottom three teams in the NFL in terms of run defense. They just couldn’t stop opponents. While it can’t all be put on Brown, he was a defensive tackle that started 13 games on the third-best run defense in the NFL.
He has the potential to be a game-changing asset, and they should look into adding him.
